Art I define as an activity of research. It is composed of two things: me, as a perceiving, experiencing and feeling creature on the one hand and the painterly practice on the other. Painting I practice as „thinking through making“. I want to explore all possibilities and impossibilities on the playground of the canvas.
A starting point is the transgenerational transmission of trauma in my family of origin. References to the fields of gender studies and feminism, history and sociology develop quite naturally.
A strong love to nature leads me to nature mythology as usual in the Japanese Shinto Religion from which I generate poetic metaphorical image motives.
The inherent materiality of painting I want wo oppose to the digitalization. The painterly vocabulary helps me to express myself where I am without words.
